Hey what's new?
We've got a few things going on... first of all we are pleased to say Verbicide Magazine has been showing us some love! We had a little piece in the last issue (22) and the current Unsigned Issue named us one of NYC's best unsigned rock bands! Thanks Verbicide!
On the shows front we had a great time at the Knitting Factory, presented by our new friends Karate Rice. Good people, we hope to do more with them in the future! Coming up we are doing a mini-mini tour with a French group called Novels, hitting Rehab (former Midway) in NYC next Thursday April 17th, the Cherrywood Rock Club in South Philly on Friday, and Rose's Cantina in Connecticut Saturday. After that we're heading off to California to do some shows with our good buddies Automatique in May.
So far the new album Black Swan is doing great. You can buy a cd through our myspace or this very website (in the music section) using paypal. You can also stop by CDBaby, or if you're in NYC it's now available at Etheria (66 Ave. A btwn 4th & 5th St.)
That's all for now. Happy Friday!

Wow what a week! We played 2 shows in DC with some amazing live painting by J.Coleman. The first was at this really incredible opening at Art Whino, a top notch gallery just outside of DC that featured some really mindblowing artwork. Next we hit the Black Cat with J.Coleman and Kelly Towles both doing live paintings that turned out really cool. To top it off, we got mentioned in the Washington Post and the Daily Examiner. We're excited to be heading back down to DC to play at the Red & Black on Feb.9th.
After returning home exhausted we were asked by DJ Mojo to open for Jucifer at Trash Bar here in Brooklyn! No rest for the weary I guess.

Long time no update! And yet so much exciting news in the works. First of all, the album is mixed, and currently in the mastering stage. Hope that is as exciting to you as it is to me! Right now we're getting artwork together, courtesy of the insanely talently Mike Delaporte. It's looking crazy fantastic so far, can't wait for you to see it!
We had a blast playing at BCC Indie Rock School in Massachusetts last week! Looking forward to playing Asbury Lanes NJ this saturday, August 11th.
Ok, now it's time for the BIG news... The editors of Billboard magazine have selected Object to play Discmaker's Independent Music World Series FINALS! We were chosen out of more than 1300 entries to be one of 6 finalists competing for a HUGE grand prize that would most importantly include the pressing of our CD. This will all go down at Crash Mansion NYC on August 23rd, and we would really love to see you there.
That's all for now. Hope you're having a great summer!

After some minor setbacks, we are hard at work recording more songs for our album. We're hoping to have it done by June, but until then you can cruise on over to our music section or myspace to hear some tracks we've finished so far. We've also added a new webstore so you can buy our older releases directly off the site!
You may have noticed we've been taking a break from shows to focus on recording, but we are playing a very special show Saturday May 12th, 9pm @ A&M Roadhouse (57 Murray St. NYC) with our friends the S.I.S, fronted by our former bass player VJ Sekar. It's really going to be a blast! Hope to see you there!

We entered our video for "Ghostly" into this Music Nation contest, so if you haven't seen it, now is a perfect time to check it out!
Even if you have seen it, the grand prize is a record deal with Epic, so if you have a second, please please please vote for us (you simply drag your mouse over the 5 star rating system and click when you're ready). if you feel inclined, you can vote once a day every day so we can be this weeks winners! we would of course be eternally grateful.
In other news, we've got a big show coming up this Friday at Lit, with Who By Fire. It should be a lot of fun, and we'd really love to see you there!

There's been so much going on here in Objectland lately!
First of all, we took 5 new tracks we recorded over to Headgear Studios. There, Scott Norton, who engineered and mixed the Mirror World EP, whipped through all 5 tracks in one day and bam - there's the first half of our next album, done! Boy are we excited! Check out the music section to hear the tracks. You can also swing over to our myspace and let us know what you think.
Also, we filmed a video for "Ghostly" with Summertime Productions. Those guys were so professional, they really worked us hard! Exhausted as we still are, I can't wait to see the finished video. It was shot in HD too, so you can watch it on your 6 foot HDTV screen and it will be awesome (don't forget to invite us over please)
Our next show is February 3rd at the Annex, and we would really love to see you there! Please visit our shows section for details.
